In reference to the Blackaby's statement.. "we Christians often take on responsibilities that God never intended us to have"; I agree and from personal experience would add this peripheral thought. Pride or prideful attitudes might be the true motive and problem.

As we experience God in our lives we ought to be mindful that Satan can also use that joy to pump our egos up, to cause us to think that we are greater than we are. We might make assumptions; pre-guessing what the Lord's intentions are in a certain situation.

Psalm 46:10
"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

Grace and peace be with you.

So was the desire to sin spawned from humans and helped by satan, or did satan have a part in creating the desire to sin or actually sin itself since he turned against God too?

[...] Knowing God and having Him reside within you is a treasure of infinite value. Jesus likened this value to that of a perfect pearl. The collector would readily sell everything he had in order to possess this one matchless pearl (Matthew 15:45-46). Your relationship with God places an immeasurable value on your life. The treasures of God’s wisdom and knowledge are available to you through Christ (Colossians 2:2-3). His love now fills you. His incomprehensible peace surrounds your heart and mind (Phil. 4:7). When Jesus dwells in your life, everything available to Christ dwells within you (Ephesians 3:19). [...]
