We praise God for the benefits we’ve seen during our “Rich Towards God” series.  Several members have already begun sharing their stories of faith and God’s work in their lives.  As you experience God’s faithful provision, please share these stories with us in the church office.

I. We can be fruitful only when we are connected to the vine. (John 15:1-30).

(See: Numbers 13:23;Ezekiel 15:1-8;Isaiah 5:1-7;Jeremiah 2:21;Hosea 10:1)

  1. The branch of the vine must bear fruit, or else it will be cut off and destroyed.
  2. Jesus points out that in order to bear fruit, you must be attached to the vine.
  3. Jesus is the vine. (John 15:1)

II.The key to a fruitful Christian life is to remain in Christ (John 15:4-17)

“remain” - to continue in the same state or condition

Application:

  1. If we are going to be fruitful, we need pruning.
  2. Without Christ in your life, you are not going to bear fruit for Him.
  3. We remain in Him through our obedience to Him,

He promises to meet our needs as we remain in Him
