The camp season has officially come to a close for the Junior and Senior High students. We all had a great time and as parents you should be extraordinarily proud of your kids! They were beyond well-behaved and more importantly they represented Christ and the church extremely well, so let them know how proud you are! But with two weeks of camps behind us we are pressing into an additional two weeks of Discovery Ministry trips. So here are some important reminders.
FUND RAISER DINNER JUNE 28th
We are only charging 70 dollars for each of these trips, but in order to help out with the cost we will be holding a fund raiser dinner after church on June 28th. IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON ATTENDING EITHER OF THE TRIPS YOU MUST HELP AT RHIS FUNDRAISER. IF YOU CANNOT BE THERE THEN YOU MUST CONTACT ME. Otherwise I will assume you are not attending!!!
As of right now the sign up for both trips is closed. I will be sending out a detailed information sheet soon listing departure time, cost, etc.
Be praying for the youth and please come talk to me if you want to get involved!

Camp Sooner is a wonderful chance for kids to get away from all the worldly distractions and focus on Christ. There are so many things in today’s society that distract us from what we should truly be focused on. Camp Sooner helps kids grow closer to the wonderful Savior whose love in unending!!
There is no super cool toy or playground equipment that keeps campers coming back year after year. It’s the relationships they form and build with other kids just like them, and the relationship they form with Christ. Summer vacation time is coming to a close and school will be back in session by the end of this week. I really don’t know where the summer has gone. It seems like every year the summer gets shorter. Or, maybe I just feel the summer with more activities and it just seems shorter.
I was looking at the Summer Jump map today and couldn’t help but notice the many flags that have been placed around the country. A lot of people are visiting churches all over the country. it is good to know that we truly can enjoy freedom of worship in this nation. Thanks, for all of your reports.
From time to time, I hear the phrase, “The church needs to do a better job of communicating.” I agree that there are some things that we haven’t communicated very well. but I also think there are times that we have communicate very well, and people haven’t listened. The strange thing about communication is that it works best when it goes both ways.
I say that to let everyone know that it is always the Internet of leadership to effectively communicate the activities of the church with as many people as possible. How do we do that? We put announcements in the bulletin, slides on the screen, blurbs in the newsletter, post them on the web site and announce events at the end of our worship service. Sometimes it can feel like we are overloaded with announcements. but it is all an attempt to communicate the activities of the church.
Why is it important for us to communicate what is going on? It is important because we need your participation for the events to be successful and beneficial to you. So, if you know of something happening at the church; please let us know so that it can be placed on the calendar and it can be properly communicated to the church.
Please take the time to read your newsletter. it contains a lot of information concerning upcoming events at the church.
